Hi all

I have read through the intake thread for the GE on this forum, looking to put a new intake on my GE8 RS.

Need to be clear that I have zero expectation of any additional power, simply wanting a bit more induction noise for some fun and would be happy with no extra power.

So, I am looking at the least worst option to do this, and wondering if anyone has any experience with the GruppeM intake (I prefer how this one looks the most)?

Also looking at the zero-1000 and the J's racing Tsuchinoko, though I suspect the J's may not provide the extra noise I crave.

OOC: Where do you see a Gruppe M intake for the GE8? I couldn't find anything on their website.

I suspect alot of the photos are just stock photo, as the kit should come with a pipe to house the afm. A guy from back in 2012 has one fitted to his GE below.

It is kinda a glorified pod filter, despite preferring the "look" of the Gruppem, I am leaning towards the zero-1000

 

I'm sure you've been doing your research, but I noticed that Group M intake uses a K&N filter. Have you considered the whole K&N Typhoon intake? I like that heat shield.

I have mainly been focusing on japanese parts as above, as I know they will fit the JDM/EU body properly etc.
