Cutting and re-welding of the front sub-frame... in/around the radiator support.

Second thoughts yet?

The subframe doesn't require cutting (you can't really cut/weld the subframe). I think you mean to say the rad support has to be replaced...this makes sense as you are changing the headlights and front fenders (not to mention shortening the entire front of the car). Changing the rad support isn't a big deal if you have the tools...I did a 05 front end conversion on my 01 civic. Otherwise, this would be cake for a body shop.

I believe the front end conversion can be done for well under $3,000. I'm willing to bet $1500 to $2000 is possible. That's pretty reasonable considering people waste more than that on an ugly USDM Mugen kit. The real cost of the swap is $$$ for painting.

JDM_DOHC_SIR,

Have you been able to track down part numbers for the front quarter panel glass for the JDM conversion?

Great man, finally a real update to this thread! You've been a real help in this area (as opposed to others who completed the conversion and have been ultra-secretive about part numbers and parts dealers).

I think you will need a socket for the front turn signal's, The Jdm headlights I bought will not accept the turn signal socket from the usa.
Anyone now the part# for a JDM front turn signal SOCKET (GRAY)
?

This is why I didn't buy the JDM headlights for sale here in the FS subforum. I had the same problem with 04-05 JDM civic headlights.
