I don't think the 09 fit will hurt the 07-08 owners resale value that much but Honda's new hybrid and the general evolution of the industry certainly will. It's purely conjecture but I'll bet two years from now the MPGs the fit is getting might be considered laughable and that will certainly affect it's trade in value then.
