Where is the EQ?

I've read in a couple sources that there's supposedly a equalizer for the radio. I can't find it for the life of me. Is it a mistake? I know the 08s have them.

Anyone know?

The '09 Owners' Manual does not mention EQ - only bass and treble. Same for Nav and non-Nav radios.

I'm not aware of an equalizer on either radio. Perhaps as IfTheFoo mentioned, you're thinking of the bass and treble adjustments.

In reading through the manual, there is no mention of a pre-set EQ for the radio or any other inputs.

This is what Canadian Driver says about it:

The Fit Sport ($19,280) adds 16-inch tires and alloys, chrome exhaust tip, 200-watt AM/FM/CD audio system with six speakers and five-mode equalizer, body-coloured underbody kit, fog lights, leather-wrapped steering wheel, security alarm, and USB audio jack.

I know Canadian models differ than US models, but I know I've read about this 5-mode EQ regarding US models in a couple of places recently, and yes, it's regarding the 09s.

Oh, and no, the music note button doesn't do it. It should be there, but it's not.

Either there is inaccurate information in the article, or there really are some significant differences between US and Canadian sound systems. Not only does the US version not have the EQ selection, the US Sport keeps the same 160W system as the Base model, not the 200W upgrade that Canada gets with their Sport. Maybe that's where the EQ difference is -- different head unit?

Yes, I thought the Canadian Driver mention of the "200W stereo" may have been a typo as well, but it makes sense if the Canadian 200W stereo has the EQ.

Colder average temperatures in Canada reduces the resistance in the speaker wiring and magnet windings, introducing a superconducting effect that allows the head unit to produce more power.

In '08 the US Sport had 200W, wonder why they dropped it?
