Actually the whole goal of the fit purchase is to not have a car payment.

I am selling the s2000 this friday.

Putting the remainder on the Fit, which means I am only going to owe 3k. Which I have in the bank. Wala no car payment.

Gotta play the cards right is what I am doing

I dont really need a sports car, I am planning for a no car payment. While I save up for a DP on a house. Roughly 20k. Then after I buy a house i plan on buying a 135i or equal by then

That's not true.

Al sport models have the small armrest on the r/s of the driver seat.

Honda offers a full-size accesory armrest with storage, but officially they will only install it on an A/T vehicle and not a M/T due to liability reasons.

Apparently, they feel the armrest could interfere with the 2-4 shift. It's not a simple install, but not hard either, so you could install it yourself if you have a manual shift.

I still don't see how that's not putting yourself in more debt. You're losing money each time you make an transaction..not to mention instant depreciation.

Congrats on your car but getting a used car would have been better all-around.

I bought the s2000 for less then I am selling it for. So I am making money. I bought the s used. Not new. I am not going to have a car payment after I sell it. So i dont see how i am in debt.

It sounds to me like you are going to be in just about the same amount of debt as before your Fit purchase.
So the breakdown of cost for me is as follows: For the record I am 24, Single and Own an s2000 which I owe $10k on.

05 Fit Sport AUTO trans: $17,580

I had a $500 93 jimmy I traded in. So take $500 off if your me

Taxes and dealer fee with plate transfer OTD Total : $18,848.60
So you have a total there of $28,848.60 as a balance owed on the two cars combined. You said you were trying to sell the S2k for $20,000 which will leave you at $8,848.60, which is only slightly lower than the balance you owed on the S2k before your purchase. Where in you calculation are you coming up with an extra $9 grand?

For those who care about my personal finances for some reason. I sold the s. Bought the fit. Put 1500 down, had a 500 trade in. Sold the s for 20 grand. Took off all the accessories rims/ deck/ shifter and so on. Sold those for 1400. Put that all to what I owe on the fit and I have the rest in the bank. which means I have next to little if any left due on my car.

I am not going to put all my cash in the bank to the purchase of a new car. Its smart to observe what its going to cost and plan ahead your payments if I was stuck with the two cars. Once that period is over I can safely put more on the one car loan.

Oh did i mention cheaper insurance and cheaper gas.
