Behind the two cup holders located under the radio is a slot that fits cd cases perfectly. Not sure if that was mentioned yet or not (hopefully not).

After all the complaints about the cupholders in the front part of the middle console, I just wanted to note that I finally understand why they have the funky shape...

it is to fit a coffee cup with a handle!

Maybe this is a no-brainer for others, but for me--I had no idea.

Who makes their own coffee anymore anyway? J/k. I had hot chocolate in one of those thermal mugs with a handle...

If you click your lock button twice on the fob and your horn does not beep, you have a door/hatch open or not fully latched.

LOL no beep walked back to the car with my 7 year old and I said "sweety, you have to push the door shut!" she left it open about 2 inches

if someone could try this on a 09 fit (im out of town and tell me if this works (my dads FORD did this) (dont know y?)

TO TURN OFF THE BEEPING NOISE WHEN THE PASSANGER DOES NOT WEAR THE SEATBELT:

1) IN LESS THAN 1 SEC. WILE THE CAR IS RUNNING LACH AND UNLACH THE SEATBELT 9 TIMES

2) ON THE 9TH TIME KEEP IT UNLACHED AND WHEN SOMEBODY SITDOWN AND DOES NOT PUT ON A SEATBELT IT WONT BEEP THIS WELL RESET ONCE THE CAR IS OFF

SO DID IT WORK?

The Sport A/T "+" paddle shifter has two ridges on the back of it that aren't on the "-" paddle, to distinguish it by touch when you're shuffle steering and want to shift up or down.

So if I'm reading this right you have to latch and unlatch the seat belt 9 times every time you start the car if you don't want the warning to go off? I don't like my car telling me to put on a seat belt, but that's too much work. I'm sure someone will eventually find a fuse or something you can disconnect to turn that off.

Question Rear hatch oddity

I've had my '09 for just 3 days now and have noticed this (coming from an '07 Fit).

When the hatch is open/up and I'm ready to close it . . . I reach up on the right side to pull it down and I notice . . .

The grab handle is upside down/backwards!

It is mounted the opposite way from my previous Fit. Or was the 2007 Fit handle wrong? This one feels uncomfortable to grasp to pull the hatch closed.

Does anyone else see this or think it's wrong ???

^ my palm faces up using my right hand to close the hatch.

but then im tall enough (im sure you are too) to just reach on the outside edge of the hatch itself to close it.

Right hand palm facing up grab handle, step to the right side, turn your body so that you're facing left in relation to the car then pull down. It allows for easy full arm swing to close hatch. Works for me.

Thanks mole & virtual.

It will just take some getting used to.

I guess this is a new "neat" feature.

Oh it's going to be a little relay shaped object with a little speaker in it. Just cover that up with electrical tape.

I rarely shy away from tampering with stuff but with this, the wrong tamper could change the way the airbags fire, or the seat belt tensioners working properly. so just going to tape it up good, usually cuts the noise by 80-90%
