interesting facts: little stuff.
So if I'm reading this right you have to latch and unlatch the seat belt 9 times every time you start the car if you don't want the warning to go off? I don't like my car telling me to put on a seat belt, but that's too much work. I'm sure someone will eventually find a fuse or something you can disconnect to turn that off.
I've had my '09 for just 3 days now and have noticed this (coming from an '07 Fit).
When the hatch is open/up and I'm ready to close it . . . I reach up on the right side to pull it down and I notice . . .
The grab handle is upside down/backwards!
It is mounted the opposite way from my previous Fit. Or was the 2007 Fit handle wrong? This one feels uncomfortable to grasp to pull the hatch closed.
Does anyone else see this or think it's wrong ???

****some or everybody might know but not me**** =P but hmm something that was interesting is that 07 and 08 fits have different windshield wipers =P i just found that out when i was in my brother car 08 fit =P works the same but looks alittle different =P
you wanna see something different about wind shield wipers? [btw i didnt kno that] look at a prius, when its raining, its very wierd yet kinda fancy. Last night i was parked head in looking at a prius that was on, its hard to explain, just look at it lol
On my MT the DRL's don't come on until you release the parking brake. which reminds me I gotta pull fuse #15.
10 cupholders and only 1 coat hanger

I don't think I've ever owned a car with only 1 coat hanger.
It hasn't been mentioned but if you put your hand out the drivers window while trying to auto-close it once it senses your arm/hand whatever it will stop and re-open. but then again this might be how it is on all auto-close window cars?

I just read this thread, and I'd never noticed the pen holder in the upper glove box. I had to run outside to check it out. I agree that it's probably a pen holder. My pen fits it OK (a little tight, but not too bad), but I keep my pen on the shelf under the upper glove box. I slides a little sometimes, but it hasn't flown off yet. So, instead, I put my tire pressure guage in the pen holder!
1) Not mentioned yet, but I was blown away by the auto-down and auto-up! driver's window, which I only found out about when I got the car. It's probably ten cents worth of extra circuitry, but every time I use it, I giggle like a child because I feel so pampered in my economy car!
2) Those slots on either side of the ebrake are perfectly sized for an iphone and wallet, freeing up the old pockets when I'm in for a drive longer than ten minutes.
3) I personally find the cupholders in front of the gearshift useless for cups (too far away, too awkward to get into when you have the air vent cupholder right there) but they're a great place to throw your sunglasses.
4) I invariably static shock myself when I get out of the car, so touching the back of my hand to the doorframe as I get out has become a habit.
5) My gearbox really won't go back into first unless I am at a dead stop, which is probably to ensure idiots like me use second as much as possible. Unfortunately, reverse isn't as balky, which means I made expensive-sounding GRUNTCHes twice before I learned to fully stop the damn car.
6) I saw my first new Insight yesterday. Sorry, the Fit dominates that ungainly minivan, I don't care about the fuel economy or little leaf lights. I'm getting 35 city without trying, on a motor with 1800 mi.
7) The only thing I would like is a ceiling-mounted ambient light like in mom's odyssey and dad's RDX. Just a little bitty LED that casts a dab of amber light around.

I would love an amber ambient light on this Fit.
noticed two things. when you shut the car off and do not open any of the doors, you still have power to close your windows.
2nd is if you have your front windshield wipers on and the rear off. if you put the car in reverse, the back windshield wipe goes off. really cool.

I have a friend there in Alberta...he says it's brutal winters
Heavy rain today, which gave me the opportunity to find out about the rear wiper coming on when the tranny is put in reverse. Freaked me out at first, but I think it's a nice touch.
As for the doors relocking if no one opens the doors, our '97 CR-V had that feature. Saves you if you pop the locks accidentally. The CR-V's remote had a button that would pop the glass hatch open, which obviously did not relock, so that button required three seconds of pushing before the hatch popped open.

So, this kicks in even in the Manual Transmission Fit? Cool.
