Question Any one bought navi/VSA under MSRP?

I thought that since the navi/vsa model is almost 2k more than the sport, demand will be significantly less and perhaps I can shave a bit off the MSRP. What do you think?

I haven't bought one yet, but I have put a deposit on one. I've been promised MSRP. I received internet quotes from several other places and they all wanted more than MSRP.

I'm picking mine up on Friday or Sat. Got it for $200 below MSRP. Fit Auto Navi.

When I finally go to buy one, I'm going to see if one of the 10+ honda dealers within an hour of me can give me $500 off MSRP or free floormats, center armrest, and cargo cover. I know it's a long shot, but I'm going to try.

And I'd like world peace, a supermodel wife, and a million dollar a year salary .... all things that are not going to happen, just like $500 under MSRP.

SheepNutz...

I would say if you walked into even half of those 10+ dealerships in your area and on the last day of september- offerred $500 Under MSRP- they would take it...

since not only is the last day of the month a great time to buy- it is the last day of the quarter... they have to meet sales objectives

and you can probably still get free mats

The last day of the month is so over rated by the buying public. Our snapshot from Honda comes well before that date so it really just becomes another day. But give it a shot.

Good luck, might be possible. Like KenBT said, might want to try last day of the month, and get a less seasoned sales person, he's probably more hungry to make a sale. $500 might be pushing it though, fit's margins are not that great. Your basically asking for $170 above invoice.

Oh you should check out the cargo cover instructions, seems like '09 cargo cover is kinda crappy and a PITA to use if your going to be taking it out a lot. Might want to wait for after market ones that will eventually come out. I think I saw a thread about it too and you have to permanatly put 4 clips onto the back of the rear seats. I'm with you on all of the above, however, I think a supermodel wife would get tiring after a while, so I'll just take the cash and world peace. Plus, why get tied down with a supermodel wife, when you can have supermodels around the world -- you know, on your world peace tour.

All kidding aside, a local dealer here in metro Detroit offered me a Fit with navi for a tick over $400 under MSRP, however, it's important to point out that I (and my family) have purchased numerous Hondas from him over the years. That said, the margin on a navi auto is $674.65 and a navi manual is $640.68 (excluding dealer holdback), so it's unlikely that dealers will be willing to shave $500 off list given the Fits huge popularity and current demand/supply scenario. Perhaps a supermodel would be easier to obtain
