I just picked up a SSM 09 Fit Sport w/ Navi AT on 10/17. I must say I love this thing to death. I already used an Ipod on it which I must say is the coolness and also I am buying a flash drive for music. The Ipod is my gf's. I need floor mats badly so that will be the top of the list. I am using the paper mats until then. I am coming from a 2005 Accord so I am used to the Honda way of life. So far the fit goes! BTW hello everyone

 

I got a Blue Sensation Pearl Sport Auto on 10/17. I needed to get a car in a hurry for the wife and new baby. From reading other car discussion forums, I had not expected to be able purchase a new Fit without being put on a waiting list or getting gouged by stealerships. I was surprised to see a brand new bsp 09 base auto at the used lot. Salesman tells me that they also have a bsp Sport MT at the new car lot. This color had always been our first choice. It was my lucky day. It seems they always save one car out of each allotment for walk-ins. Every other Fits are pre-sold. We went to see the Sport version to compare the trim levels even though we were only interested in getting an auto. We were pleasantly surprised and fortune smiled on us again to find the Fit is actually an AT. We gave it a test drive and knew we wanted to take her home. The Stealership wanted $2k above MSRP. I told them no and that I will not be paying above MSRP which they agreed to but they would not budge on throwing in floor mats or any other accessories.

I found this forum after I got the Fit and I am learning more about the car. I just ordered a cargo cover and tray online. Here are pictures I took of my 3 day old Fit. I think the Fit is going to get along just fine with us.

Picked up my TWB '09 Fit Sport AT on Saturday. Love it!!

 

I saw my TWB Fit in some pictures for the first time today. I was pleased to see that it didn't look lavendar. In person, the lavendar tint almost drives me insane. At least the color photographs pretty. :-)

I had a 94 GS-R which remains my most trouble-free, most fun to drive car I have owned or driven.

 

I had only seen the TWB in pictures before I picked mine up this weekend, and it always looked fine to me. Yesterday I saw it display that lavender hue and I did not care for it.

My 09 SSM AT/Navi has arrived!! Took ownership today...it has tint and mats. More pics after I remove all the advertising and the weather clears up a bit..this car is awesome!

Bought my 09 AT Fit (LX) on the 18th of Oct, Delivery on the 25th.

 

Picking up 09 SSM AT/ Navi $300 below MSRP plus N/C all weather mat and cargo cover tomorrow.

Yeah, I got a good deal!

 

Ordered one on Tuesday, Delivery to be made sometime at the end of November. A bit of wait but I m sure it is worth it!

Loved my 23 year old small silver sporty car but (1) it's getting very unreliable, (2) people just don't pay attention and kept almost hitting me and (3) the no cup holders, no back seat, teensy trunk were less fun as I and my friends are getting older.

Husband took me out car looking this summer and all the other cars were too big and fancy and not fun. Decided the Fit would work well for me but wanted a Sport Manual and there were very few at the dealers at that point. Remained undecided until I saw an Orange first gen Fit at a stoplight and went, yes! that's what I need. People will stop running into me with that car and the color is very autumn which suits me.

Decided to wait for the '09 Fit since it's late summer by now. Found this site and learned that they were arriving in the US. Our 2 old cars were making worse noises. Started trying to find an Orange MT at the local dealers but it was impossible. Began worrying that I wouldn't find one before my car needed major work.

By late September I was calling all over California and then to other states where I had relations to try and find one. Most dealers said, if you find one, buy it because you that's not a common one. After a few false starts and many helpful people giving me leads, I found just what I wanted, a OR 5MT no navi Fit with no stuff added on in Arizona. The folks were great dealing with this crazy lady over the phone and I gave them a deposit.

Husband went to get it and drove the 500+ miles back because I had some obligations that kept me home that week. That was October 4th. The picture was taken on the drive home to me.




A big thanks to the posters at this site who helped me with this decision and getting to know the ins and outs of the new car.
