MSRP on my 09 Sport with auto/navi/VSA was $19,430. Negotiated the price down to $19,300, with the dealer throwing in the bumper applique, door film, cargo tray, + wheel locks. After tax/license/fees, my total came to $21,028 (Bought the car in Oregon, but had to pay the whopping 9% WA state tax because the car is registered in WA).

Hi Freaks!
I've been lurking since late spring, when I came to the conclusion I don't want to drive my current daily driver thru another New England winter. I've learned alot about the Fit, and it graduated from my short list to my final choice very quickly.
I started making phone calls to dealers who showed as having inventory in my local area on Tuesday. I quickly found out how scarce my choice was (auto sport, preferably Taffita White) The first dealer never got back to me after I made my inquiry, the 2nd said they had none in stock, but *might* be able to get one, but the 3rd had 3 in stock, 2 SSM and one TWB.
I drove up that night, took a quick test drive to confirm their weren't any thing weird with it, and struck a deal for 17598, and was on my way home an hour later. Today I took delievery, and I'm very pleased with the whole experience. My dealer (Lia Honda in Northampton) was awesome to deal with, very low pressure without any attempt to rake me over the coals.
First order of buisness is to order weathertech floormats and get a remote start installed!

I went with the TWB. My first choices were taffeta white or blue sensation, but as long as it wasn't black or purple it was a done deal.

My advice to people on the fence about bying a fit is to act now, or you'll be waiting and paying more for the 2010s.

Well, in my area... the 09s are costing almost as much as the 10 models.

20,642 vs 20,986

Went into my local Honda dealer (Honda of Oakland, awesome experience) and they found me the "last Milano Red '09 Fit Sport with Navi in NorCal" and had it shipped in the next day. Paid $18,900 plus the more-outrageous-than-Oregon tax of 9.75%. Also got free wheel locks, which I don't think they knew were in the glove compartment! Great interest rate through Honda Credit. My first fill-up will be tomorrow morning - crossing my fingers on the mpg. I try to drive for mpg, but then road rage hits and its all over.

Just bought an '09 Sport 5MT in Blue Sensation Pearl last night in central OK for $16,570. It's getting shipped in tomorrow (fingers crossed!). Couldn't find a Sport w/manual anywhere in town.

Already ordered the PRM CAI kit too.

Sept 5, 2009 Silver Auto Sport with NAVI. $19,100 + 1k for taxes and stuff. Put 4K down and went through USAA and got an interest rate of 5.24% for my $16,912.15 car loan of 5yrs. (Plan on paying it off early though.)

We enjoy the navi, definitely worth it!

Hi, just got an orange '09 auto Sport the other day, for $17.5K + tax & tags. Didn't seem to be much negotiating room, but the car is so nice I don't mind so much. I have been living in England the past year and before that had a Toyota Yaris, which I liked, but for a few K more the Fit seems a lot nicer (although I do lose about 5 mpg). I was also a little surprised & disappointed that the hatchback "cargo cover" is an optional item? But got the dealer to throw that in as well (although it hasn't arrived yet)!

carlgt1, Mine didn't come with floor mats! They pretty much sell the thing bare-bones. I plan on getting some good floor mats at some point.... I tried some cheap ones but they're worthless.

Love our Fit though.

mine didn't come with floormats, I made them throw in wheel locks & a cargo shelf (which I haven't received yet), as I thought it was silly not to have a cover in the hatch. I just bought some $20 rubber mats at Pep Boys and they seem fine although slide a little bit. The $96 price for the Honda Fit "All Season" mats (basically rubber mats) seems a little steep.

that sounds pretty hard to believe unless you have some evidence (i.e. a dealer name/contact). I mean dealer invoice on an '09 Fit Sport is $17.2K right?
