This is the Fit that rest of the world gets
Asian Jazz/Fit
I spent most of 2008 in Asia and Europe, I see a lot of these cars here and notice the differences. Beside the name (Jazz in SE Asia, Fit in Japan), the main differences I see are rear disc brakes on some Jazz models and iDSI engines. In Indonesia you can get a VTEC or an iDSI engine. It is said that the iDSI engine has better mid-range torque. We just bought a VTEC 2009 US-model Fit for our home in Louisiana - have not driven it yet but will see.
In Asia or Europe, I have never seen a Fit or Jazz with a sunroof. It must be an aftermarket add-on. Relax guys - in this case I don't think the rest of the world is getting something better. The only thing I wish they had on the U.S. model are the rear disc brakes.
Other than than, I do not think the body of an '09 is any different between Asia and the U.S. I test-drove a Jazz in Indonesia (with right-hand steering) and it had a very goofy shelf under the wheel, right where your shins are. Good to put sushi trays on, but very much in the way of driving. Thankfully, the U.S. model does not have this.
