What powers the 2009 remote key?

According to the 2009 owner's manual (p. 78):
The keys do not contain batteries.
Do not try to take them apart.
If this is true, what power source does the key draw from? Is there a rechargeable battery or capacitor that utilizes inductiive charging when the key is in the ignition?

Or does it have a "lifetime" non-replaceable primary battery? There's a screw on the key head but I don't want to risk busting up something that likely costs more than $150 to replace.

Never mind, I should read more carefully.

All models except Sport model and
Canadian LX model
The keys do not contain batteries.
Do not try to take them apart.

Very odd that they say do not take them apart and it does not have a battery. It does take a battery: a 3V CR 1618. It is actually very easy to replace it. I wonder if they want you take to dealer when battery dies...

Actually it does tell you how to take apart the key on p. 91 of the manual and what type of battery (CR1616) to use.

It was when I hit this page I realized that reading > me.

If you take the key apart the world explodes.

Please, don't take your keys apart!
