Touch-up paint - color code for Orange Revolution???

Ok so I'm learning pretty fast not to take anything for granted! My car was in the shop for 5 days to get the remote starter installed, then the guy I was dealing with "no longer works there", then they tell me my mat clips are in (but they're not), then my car is ready but they don't bother to tell me so I'm waiting & waiting in the customer lounge.... ANYHOW, after all this I finally also get my warranty booklet and touch-up paint pen.

Being wiser now, I checked the color on the pen. It says "Brilliant Orange Metallic - YR576M". I'm HOPING that this is indeed the color for my car, which is Orange Revolution. Last year's orange was "Blaze Orange Metallic", right? Can anyone confirm for sure that YR576M is Orange Revolution???

Thank you! So yes, I confirmed that my touch-up paint color code matches what is written on my driver-side door jamb.

One other thing that's been bugging me. I have stickers with my VIN number stuck on all my door jambs. Shouldn't those have been removed before delivery? Seems odd that they're all over the car....

No Honda puts a VIN on almost every body panel from the factory now. basically if you have them removed when you get rid of the car the new owner will assume you got something fixed and had to replace the part.

I don`t know if that YR-552M is correct .. because they have that color over here in Japan ...and it looks dead on like Burnt Orange Metalic... But YR-576M is a new color on the Honda AirWave over here as of April this year and it looks to be the exact color of the USDM 09 ORM fit .... Food for though..

You're right that YR576M IS the new 2009 shade of orange since it is written on my driver-side door jamb!

And where's Crystal Black? Many Honda owners/dealers are so used to Nighthawk that they think the 09 black Fits are Nighthawk, but it's a tad different.

God No!!! Don't remove those stickers. When you sell the car many people regard it's "stockness" and the ability to prove it's "stockness" as part of the vehicle's documentation. Some picky buyers, I'm one of them, want the car in as pristine (like it came from Honda) a condition as possible. Deviations from this will degrade the vehicles resale value!

no worries, I asked before I began the big sticker removal job! The car is still absolutely "stock". Glad I did get input since I was really wondering why those stickers with my VIN were all over the car....

Not being used to these new VIN stickers on the parts I unwittingly peeled off one from my Acura's rear bumper.

Then when I went to dealers for trade in quotes, they mentioned and were concerned about that 1 sticker missing, suggesting I was in an accident.

I wish I had some kind of heads up on these stickers, but after that I knew.

I was totally clueless too! See, this is why I post so many questions here before doing anything drastic. Wise co-"Fitfreakers" we have here on this forum!

I felt that my dealership dropped the ball on this touch-up paint issue. I emailed them a few days ago and was told that the paint would be at the dealership this weekend. I stopped by, but the parts guy had already sold this item to another person. He also was adamant about wanting to know the # on the driver's side door in order to order this paint for me. I don't get it. Shouldn't calling it "orange revolution" be enough to get one's order processed?

Not really since the name varies. For example, Tidewater in North America is called "Sherbert Blue" in Japan. Since the color code does not vary, going by that ensures that you get the correct color to match your car. Checking with the code on your door jamb is actually the best approach for your dealership to take...
