My paint has orange peel!!

For those of you unfamiliar with the term...
2009 Dodge Ram 1500: Orange Peel

I noticed this about a week ago. I have these splotches on the driver's side door and washing it won't make them go away. I don't even know what it is, but I'm guessing it's the clear coat. It's so ugly please help me.

It's been repainted and the clear was too light of a coat. Is this a new purchase? If so take it back and have them fix it!

ageed, hopefully its a new purchase or a fresh paint job that you can get fixed or flat out returned. new rides shouldnt have orange peel but sometimes it happens =/

Most of the newer cars out there have orange peel sadly It might not be as severe as that Dodge Ram up there, but orange peel is really common now on all new cars :/

I think it's caused by applying a new coat of like paint or something when the bottom coat hasn't completely cured or something about the clear coat not drying out evenly :/ You can sort of fix it by wet sanding, but it kinda thins out the paint. :/

Disclaimer: I could be wrong LOL.

I just washed my car yesterday and was admiring how it has no orange peel texture anywhere. I've never had it on the 4 Hondas I've had, but I had it on both of my Mazdas. If it's only in one spot you can likely get it taken care of via warranty. It was all over the car on my Mazdas

Could have been a repair somewhere on the door and they have to re-clear the whole door. They probably can just buff it out.

For what it is worth, I had orange peel on my Solstice, and I used Turtle Wax Ice polish on it. While not completely gone, it is a whole lot better. You might try it.

I'm not all that impressed with the paint job on my Fit either. It's not terrible, but it's probably the worst of the Hondas and Acuras I've owned.
