It would drive me crazy to have a lanyard with a dozen keys (most useless) as well as other doo-dads dangling and banging while I drive my car. I have my ignition key and my house key on a simple ring - fits neatly in my pocket.

Next topic: Who hates all that dangling sh@t that folks have hanging from their rear view mirrors? Talk about distracting...

Ditto here. I have my ignition key, Honda key fob (only thing the $^#& gave me free!), and a small LED flashlight (flat, very tiny) together and that's it. I like the car to be as quiet as possible when driving so keep things to a minimum. Any dangling "stuff" would also drive me nuts so I keep the car pretty clean...

Here here. I have my one master key by itself. Not even a ring is attached to it!! No chance of making any clanging noises.

Just hold the other keys in your palm while you're turning the lock. It's not that hard to keep away from the car. I have about 5 different keys on my key fob and not once has it ever scratched my car.
