sirius radio anybody?
I also have the '09 Navi, and came to the same conclusion--no way to integrate Sirius with my Navi, short of replacing the whole system with one from the Civic. No way....
I went with the Sportster 5 with vehicle kit. All in all, it's a pretty clean setup. If you're already a Sirius customer, you can get it all for $99 with a 2 year subscription. I had it installed by a pro. He put the antenna right behind the AM/FM antenna. The radio and suction mount go on the front quarter-window, with the power, antenna, and aux line wires neatly tucked in around the back of the window. The radio is clear of the cupholder and vent, but close enough to reach. I use the remote almost exclusively.
One trick with this radio you might want to use: I had the installer wire it so that the radio can receive power even with the ignition off. The combination of this and using the "pause" feature allows me to record shows while I'm out of the car, and then FF through the commercials when they come. You can set the Sportster so that it powers off after an hour of inactivity, which will save your battery in case you forget to turn it off for a long period. I was really bummed about not being able to integrate the satellite radio into the Navi, but this "Tivo" feature more than makes up for it.
Good luck!
