Q about Trip computer

Quick question about the '09's. Do you have to tell the computer when you fill up or how many gallons? I just got something called Scangauge for my 08 and it looks like you must do this at every fill up.(which means too much hassle) One of my staff has an Accord and says he never has to do this will the built in unit in his Navi so I am wondering if the Fit is the same way. No I won't trade in my 08 just for a hassle free trip meter but would help make up my mind.

Thanks!

I don't think any car is smart enough to know how many gallons of gas you put in it.

It's not a trip computer. It's a milage meter.

The mileage calculator resets when you reset the trip odometer, and the mileage is estimated progressively as you consume a tank. You don't need to input how much gas you've used, but it seems to be high by about 4 mpg compared to manually calculating the mileage at each fill-up.
