My dealer told me my build date was also on 11/28 for a MT sport. Spoke to them yesterday and he said should arrive in 10 days. Is he BSing me or what?

 

Total BS. I live 100 miles from Portland, Oregon, which was the port that my Fit arrived at, and it took longer than 10 days.

 

My dealer said the last one they got in was delivered about 3 weeks after it was built. He told me to order accessories around the 15th because they take about a week to come in, so I am guessing (or hoping) I will have it right around Christmas.

 

I heard the Fits with build date of 11/28 are coming out of a factory in Alabama and not Japan. Anyone hear something different?

 

My dealer told mine was being built in Japan. We'll see on the sticker.

 

Should be on the boat... sounded like definitely built in Japan when we stopped by the dealer this afternoon. Saw an AT Sport/Navi... one of the salesman let us try out the Navi. It worked well. Should be a great addition to the car. A young couple had just brought it back from a test drive... around the dealer lot ;-) We saw them leave as we arrived.

Just heard from the dealer today. My car is in! Black sport M/T. Picking it up on Friday! Sooo excited!!!

Anybody else hear anything about Sport Navi 5MT deliveries? It's a long way from Japan to the mid-West. I can't wait either.

 

I spoke to my dealer earlier in the week. I had a VIN for mine, but it's location wasn't listed. I am guessing it was on the ocean.

He said that there was one on the list that was built 4 days before mine and it was in California and expected to arrive between the 18th and 21st....

So, that puts mine between the 22nd and 25th I suppose. What a great Christmas present that would be!

 

I'm guessing mine might come a couple days or a week before yours, since I'm on the westcoast?

 

Give your deaer a call and see where it is. Mine says they get updates every day on their cars.

 

I'm going in to the dealer on Thursday to order any accessories I want. My dealer said to order everything before the car comes in so it will be covered under the same warranty as the car.


Anybody pick out any add-ons their accessories yet? I think I am going to get the sport grille, body side molding, all-season floor mats, cargo tray, and rear bumper applique...as long as the dealer gives a good price.

Ours is in the batch built November 28. Dealer says the only word they get on the car is "in transit." She assumes that means "on the ship." The way the weather has been around here, I wouldn't mind a little of that VSA for the next few days. Doesn't look like it's happening for a while, though.

 

Dealer said they don't get the VIN until it's in California. I got my VIN last week. I really know what the truth is. I just know it should be soon.

I am loving my car! It's great... even in the ice and snow we just had. It's a MT sport without navi.
The dealer told me the build date was 11/28 but when i looked at the bill of sales it looks like the date was 11/6, which made more sense to me as to why i got it on 12/12. So who knows. Hope you get urs soon!

 

Looks like early January...

 

I think my dealer is going to let me know tomorrow exactly when the car should be here. They really want to get enough cars out the door before the 1st to get the "President's Award" for the dealership.
