I have been lurking around here for a month or more. I ordered a 2009 Manual Transmission w/navi in the middle of September and I just found out today the build date for my car is 11/28/08. I'll proabably get it just in time to be a Christmas present!

I am having a hard time waiting, but I am doing OK because I already have a good car that gets great mileage (97 Saturn...gets about 33/38mpg even with 155k miles on it).

I just want my new toy!

 

Congratulations on your decision to get a Fit. I waited from mid July til mid October for my Fit. Well worth the wait!! I think your estimation of a Christmas arrival is about right. I had a build date of September 15 and it arrived October 16th.

 

My build date is 11/28 as well. Suppose to come in mid December or two weeks into January.

 

Did you get the same setup? (MT in Orange Revolution w/navi?)

 

MT VSA/Navi, but in Milano Red. Had to reserve it so that no one pick it up.

 

just wondering how you found out the built date?

 

Hate to bust your bubble, but plan on 6-8 weeks from the build date.

Oh yeah, and Santa Claus doesn't really exist.

 

Dealer can give you build date.

Same specs including color, navi, mt AND build date for my wife's fit...

 

I ordered a SSM MT w/ NAV on 9/9 and I'm anxiously awaiting it too!! Maybe they're making all of the MT's w/ NAV the same week!? I was actually told mid Oct to early November, though. So, I hope it comes SOON!!

Does anybody know if it's a good idea to get window tint put on a car when it's cold outside? I thought I heard it needs to 'bake' to completely adhere to the windows?!

It's okay. I was hoping to save a bigger down payment anyway. Truthfully, some days I am OK with waiting, and other days it's like I have tourettes and I have tantrums because I want my car now.


Poor, poor us...with our MT Navi models.

 

You can say that again!!!! At least some of you have build dates. I can't even get that yet. When I first bought the car they told me 6-8 weeks, then last week they told me probably not till January


I want my Fit Navi MT now!!!!

 

When I ordered mine, they told me they only had one they earned to order for November (or something like that) and I would get it some time in November. They said anyone who ordered after me wouldn't get it until January or later. It looks like it will be January for me anyway.


I wouldn't be suprised though if they had someone come in and they pushed their order ahead of mine. (The salesman is my best friend's dad and he knows I am not in a hurry)

 

Today's the day anyone have an update?

 

No update yet, but I will probably call the dealer next week to see if the status has changed and if I have a VIN!

Same story here--Sport M/T Navi built 11/28. Supposed to be available for delivery mid-December. That would be one fast ship, I guess.

 

Dealer estimate now late December for delivery. Asking for another look at the trade-in??? It's been awhile since the car was ordered and trade-in assessed.

 

With a build date of 11/28, you might get it in mid-Dec. if you're on the west coast...
