Thanks! + Rep to you. Note that they are STILL reporting a 200W audio system in the Sport with 5 mode equalizer. This is false. The audio system is 160W with NO equalizer.
We get 3 models up here. The DX (steel wheels with covers), the LX (yup, with the Civic Hybrid butt ugly wheels), and the Sport.
Interesting, he noted that the fuel economy readout had an average of 6.7L/100km but he was getting close to 8.9....that is a HUGE difference haha. Kinda makes me wonder, 'cause I'm on my second tank of gas and it's been sitting around 6.7L/100km for the last little while ;x

The hard part is getting the actual liters used and assuming the odometer is accurate.
pure city driving in my first 3 tanks i'm getting around 8.9L/100km, computer reads 7.5-8.0L/100km.
I drive really slow too, but I think I might be shifting too early. Will try to stay in the 2.5-3k range for my next tank

As for shifting, I'm usually trying to stay between 2-3k RPMs, and shift usually around 3. On the odd occassion where traffic's heavy i might stay in 2nd gear and that'll cause some more strain on the engine when it's working under 2k RPM, but for the most part that rarely happens so I don't have a huge issue with it.
With my Sport Auto I'm averaging 6.5 L/100 km (5.8 L/100 km on the BSM). That works out to 36 US MPG. I've had my car for almost 2 months now.
Just had my winter tire/wheel set installed (15" Honda steel wheels) this AM and will track how my mileage is impacted. I got the Nokian Hakka Rs which are "ultra low rolling resistance" tires which apparently results in less fuel consumption that other winter tires. Well, I'll believe it when I look at the numbers. But also, our temps are now falling which will further negatively impact fuel consumption. Best I can do is assess how my mileage in the winter months differs from the warmer months (worse due to snow tires AND colder climate).

According to this website, speedometer readings with my new winter tires will be 1.1% too fast (example: when my speedometer reads 60 km/hr I'll actually be going 59.3 km/hr) : Wild Weasel's Automotive HowTo Pages
Of course I expect my odometer reading to be off a bit too but I wouldn't actually go to the trouble of figuring out EXACT numbers. I just want a general ideal of fuel economy in warmer months vs. summer months. The different tire sizes will complicate the issue so I'll keep that in mind...
