Mods coming . . . but no service manual

What a great forum with lots of great info and helpful fellow Freaks!!

I'm wondering if anybody could assist me with a few answers. I don't have a service manual yet, but I'd like to start a few small mods.

1) I'm having the windows tinted next week. I'd LIKE to unplug a fuse so that the windows can't accidentally be rolled down (by another driver) until they are ready. Can you tell me what fuse protects the windows AND if there is anything else on that same fuse (that I may NOT want to unplug)?

2) I've purchased a Gentex Auto Dimming mirror (with BT). It has the following connections: (Ground, +12V switched by ignition, +12V constant power). I'm planning on getting constant power and ground from the map light (if I can), but could anybody make a recommendation on a good wire to tap into for ignition switched power? I'm VERY excited for this one--and I'll be sure to post pix and a DIY when I'm done!

Also, if anybody has a link to the 2009 manual online (free OR avail for purchase), I'd appreciate it. I'll post that Q in another link too . . . I'd prefer the HONDA manual, but if somebody recommends another brand, I'd consider it.

From the Owners' manual, Looks like fuse 3, 17, 18 and 19 are for the power windows (1 per window).

Thanks! I DO have the Owner's manual--and I AM reading it . . . but I haven't gotten to that part yet. Dooph!

I'm going to assume that if there is 1 fuse per window, that they are dedicated to that purpose . . . Thanks for your help!

Bluetooth? Can you post a link with the model please?
Thanks.

The Helms manuals wont be available for a while https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...s-helminc.html

From reading other posts, it seems that even the Honda mechanics dont have a hard copy manual yet, they are using the online version from Honda. Maybe there's a way to get that one?

Gentex Mirror with HomeLink

I wasn't really interested in a bluetooth, compass or map light. I missed the auto dimming of my previous cars, and I REALLY wanted to get rid of multiple garage door openers. So I bought the cheapest one I could. I got an "OEM" version (for some other mfgr) for $129, which is WAY better than $300+ that I've seen elsewhere!

I purchased them from a guy with an eBay store. He has all different types for sale--at great prices!
eBay Store - WembleySells: Brand New Mirrors, HomeLink Compass Mirror Kit, HomeLink Mirror Kit IO

He also has a web site (under development) with lots of info about Gentex mirrors, the adapters, etc.
Gentex HomeLink Autodimming Mirrors GNTX-313 and GNTX-453 Series comparison

I've not yet started the installation, so I'm not sure how it will mount. The seller thought that it had a CAM-Lock mount (so I bought an $15 adapter), but I don't think it has that. I've contacted him to see if I need a different adapter. I don't want to take it off until I have all the parts (and time) to put the new one on--kindof a critical item.

The official '09 Fit Service Manual in print from Helm Inc. Won't be available until March of '09. AFAIK, none on line yet either.
