How much room in front of car?

I'm having a really hard time judging how much room I have in front when I park. Even when I think I'm about to bump the car in front, when I get out to check, I still have a good 2 or 3 feet.

Any tricks anyone has picked up?

In Japan, people put little antennas on the far end of the bumper that aids the driver in estimating where the bumper ends. I have no idea what these are called or how I would google it. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Any help would be appreciated.

we get as an optional extra, a sensor kit for parking installed into front and rear bumper and a neat looking alert system that mounts above rear view mirror, theyre $415 NZD from honda.

I dont have them but seen one installed in a new GE8 for a customer looked pretty tidy, would look better than having grandma bars on the front

turning on your headlights can make it easier to judge the distance in front of you. Just watch the reflection .

i highly agree and recomend this.turning on the headlights and watching the "light area" get narrow will tell you when your too close or too far. trust me, it works do some practice on the wall so you know what the light looks like at the right distance.

Camera system

I would love to have the camera system both front and rear, if it could be integrated in to the Navi display.

Front camera

Rear Camera

The more I think of the Navi possibilities that have been cut to the US market, the more I think I will be going with a good aftermarket unit in the future, since I plan on having this car for a long time.
