Fast-Forward music on Flash Drive?
My '09 Fit with Navi has the option of playing MP3s on a flash drive through the USB connection. This works better than I thought it might. The only problem I have seen (so far) is that when I try to fast-forward in a song, the play time indicator advances but the music does not. When I release the FF button, the song continues playing right where it was when I started FF.
Do other people have this behavior, or is it just me?

I have non navi and the fast forward definitely works. Only thing that sucks is the 3 second increments. I was trying to fast forward halfway through a 4 hour radio show on mp3... Eventually I just decided to listen to something else

It might just be some idiosyncrasy with my particular flash drive. I'll try another one and see if it behaves differently. SWMBO* wants me to put some Christmas music in the car, so that'll be a good way to test it.

After reading this thread I decided to try my USB socket for the first time. I plugged in the adaptor and aux found it. So, I put some MP3 format songs on my new 2g flash drive, fixed it to the adaptor and on the screen said unsupported. Hmm, maybe my flash drive is too big. I works fine on my computer.
Cd works fine with the same MP3 music.
Cd works fine with the same MP3 music.

It wouldn't be that the drive is too big, as I have a 32gb flash drive in mine. You most likely just need to re-format the drive. (*Note - This will erase all data from your drive!) Plug it into your computer, find the drive within "My Computer", RIGHT-click the drive and select "Format". Be sure to select FAT32 for the format type option, and you can just perform a "Quick Format". Try this and let us know...there's more we can try if it doesn't work.
This is such an easy fix, it should be put on a sticky.
