That was great Roger!

We just have to remind that, if you have kids and they keep turning on the dome lights all the time, you might not like this due to the map lights staying on your eyes while you are driving...

Surely there must be a way of connecting it only to the "doors open" position...

But that's a great job!

Best regards,

PO

Good work, very creative, BUT

wouldn't the warranty be voided should you have an electrical fire, or any electrical problems.... Also, can u still have only one light working? the battery seems weak, would drain faster with both lights on.

The warranty can be voided if you do anything to modify the car. However, this mod is pretty benign on such a simple part of the system that there is not much that can go wrong.

It is on a fused system

How long do you leave your doors open? If you are going to leave them open for more than say, 10 minutes, then you should just turn off the dome lights from the switch.

I use LED lights n all three lights now, they are brighter than factory. The battery drains slower with 3 LED light than 1 regular incandescent bulb.

You can still have one map light working. However, whenever you turn on the dome light for any reason, all three will come on.
