Is it illegal to mount GPS to windshield in Michigan?
Hey, Anyone have any input on this? I just suctioned my Garming to my windshield over my rear view mirror when I got to wondering if this is illegal. TIA for anu ideas

NOTICE TO DRIVERS IN CALIFORNIA AND MINNESOTA: State law prohibits drivers in California and Minnesota from using suction mounts on their windshields while operating motor vehicles. Other Garmin dashboard or friction mounting options should be used. Garmin does not take any responsibility for any fines, penalties, or damages that may be incurred as a result of disregarding this notice. (See California Vehicle Code Section 26708(a); Minnesota Statutes 2005, Section 169.71)

(12) A portable Global Positioning System (GPS), which may be mountedin a 7-inch square in the lower corner of the windshield farthestremoved from the driver or in a 5-inch square in the lower corner ofthe windshield nearest to the driver, if the system is used only fordoor-to-door navigation while the motor vehicle is being operated andoutside of an airbag deployment zone.
