If that's for me, I was at a complete stop with brakes applied before leaving one selection and choosing another.

mines an 08, and when i go from reverse to to drive, it seems like it's not shifting until i let off the brake...sounds like the same thing. I've gotten used to it though. And yeah. NO gas when starting. These cars are all efi, so priming the gas just opens the TB, and shouldn't actually squirt gas. since these are DBW, the throttle body probably doesn't open either.
