15" or 16" pros and cons
We'll see how it turns out. I just have a bad feeling that 15s will look too small for the GE8. I'm going to stick with 16s when I get TE37s.
so yes. A 195/55 would be great with a 16x7. Now for the 205 I would recommend a smaller offset. As I mentioned, though I didn't measure it, my guess is that the wheel is about 4-6 inches away from the shock absorber. Let's say for EXAMPLE: the fit sport rim is like +45, then I would opt for lower fortys like +43 or +40 don't know if those exist, but I hope you get what I'm saying.
I have a feeling your going to ask questions about offsets now lawlz. It's ok mate, were all family
Unless there's another way of reading tire sizes.....then danm that's a big ass wheel

Danm epic fail for me LOL
Ok so if it's +55 then aim for +53 or +50. Again, not honestly sure if those are legitimate specs.
JDMxGE8 do you happen to know what offset it takes to sit flush with the fender?

two reasons why ppl do not like rotas
1) knock off designs
2) casted, not forged. casting involves welding pieces of metal together. cheap, but weak. forging a wheel is made from one piece of metal and is a stronger and more expensive product. video
I think. can someone please confirm this?

No they will not crack under standard use. They are indeed popular. Many STI owners prefer Rota wheels for their lightweight and cheap price. And STI probably beat on Rota's more than we ever would/can, and rarely do you hear a complaint about a rim cracking under extreme use.
Only time you will see a Rota rim damaged beyond repair is in an accident. And like the poster before you said, because they are pieces they break, where as one a piece will bend at the most.
yeah rota+curb=fail. I have seen pics of shattered rims due to hard turns in autox, but if the driver is a regular street driver and does not hit anything, rotas should be fine.
whenever i do get my fit and decide to go for aftermarket shoes I will not be purchasing rotas, mostly because they are knockoffs. I rather pay my money for the real thing, have my money go to the people deserve it, and get a better quality product. just my 2cents
So after looking at some of the pics of the Spoon GE and GD fits I have a two part question.
What are the wheels on the Spoon GE located in the pics and do you think they are 15" or 16"
ie:Spoon Fit (GD1 & GE8)
and now the 2nd part. What are the benefits of going with a 15" rim and tire combo, I seem to like the look, but I assume that I may lose handling characteristics with floppy side wall action.
Sorry for the noobish question, any and all advise would be much appreciated!

I vote for
195/55x15
205/50x15, or
205/45x16, or
195/40x17
on wheels with 45 to 50 mm offset.
15's on a ge8 will look to small. i sometimes think lowered ge8 on 16's look small haha. i would never run less than a 16 though. fendwell is too fatty for 15's.
if you plan to only daily your car and dont want to dump dough on real wheels then go for it, its your money. if you plan to road race or autoX then get some real shit. but like i said its your money do what you want.
