New Fit, but...
New Fit, but...
I just picked up my new white AT Fit with Nav last week. It's replacing my wrecked Subaru Impreza WRX wagon (thought I'd save some gas!). I've been getting about 38 MPG according to the computer, though I recall people here saying that this reads high. If that's close to true though I'm thrilled!
Paid $20,800 out the door, so MSRP.
Anyway, the but... So does this car not come with any floor mats or did the dealer take them out and forget to put them back? I just realized that there's just carpet down there, a plastic piece on the driver side, but no mats.

thru the first 4000 miles the real ave mpg has been about 31 mpg. lots of mixed driving.
im afraid that 38 computer mpg is closer to 34 real mpg. i really look at the computer as a tool to learn optimal driving habits, so if it is consistently off it will still accomplish this.
still, couldnt honda have remedied this? id venture to say, there are a boatload of unsuspecting fit owners (probably not on this board) who just assume the computer is right and never bother to do their own calculation. 4 mpg is a rather sizeable difference. the '09 corolla (the other car im considering, but still leaning fit) boards indicate a computer that is pretty accurate with the computer rarely being off by nore than 1.5-2 mpg and often closer than that. from reading other owners complaints to honda service managers, it does not appear there is any solution for the fit computer.

I talked to my dealer about this problem, and he gave me the Honda Corporate contact info: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/eco-...tml#post579031
