i get pulled over by cops many times. of course i never speed like 110mph but more like 50 in a 30 zone, or sometimes i forgot to renew my registeration, or make a turn in an area not allowed to turn. anyway everytime i got caught w/ my children in my backseats they always let me go, w/o any tickets of any kind. even when i was alone i looked so innocent and sympathetic i only got 1 ticket so far (and i belived i got that ticket because my then boyfriend almost got into a fight w/ the cop). the lessoned learned is: be very very polite to the cop and act very very sorry and cooperate in everyway and if possible carry small children w/ you.

yeah. carry small children with you when you speed!! then you are not the only person at risk of injury/fatality in a collision

I agree with the lock idea. Street racing and extreme speeding shouldn't be tolerated on the roads nor in this forum.

Reckless, YES!

Maybe not at night, but who here has never stroked their vehicle to the tune of 110+ mph going down the highway (even for just a minute or two)?

This thread IS worthless on two fronts, the OP's lack of full disclosure, and the "holier than thou" attitude of some who have already posted.

Honestly, OP, I wish you didn't drive a GE Fit, if only for the unnecessary heat you bring on all of us GE owners, and not because you're any less moral or intelligent than the rest of us.

Just glad nobody got hurt.

Blackout has probably been advised to keep his mouth shut about the incident until the court date. If he has not then let me be the first to advocate him doing so. Regardless of what happened he is looking at no less than a suspended license. And with him being a member of what I can only assume is the US Army, he probably has teeth marks in his ass from the chewing it got, when he reported the incident to his commander.

Dude screwed up, and the cops took action appropriate to maintaining their personal safety in the line of duty. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks about the incident, because it wont change that it happened. We should all consider how lucky we are that Blackout is alive to relay any of the story and give us some insight into what not to do. Your lucky you didn't get yourself and anyone else who might have been in the car killed.

Or even some innocent law abiding motorist driving by.
