Steering problem

I was wondering if you guys have a problem wit the steering. Well I seem to notice that when I'm getting ready to turn a left and I slightly go in the left lane I noticed that my steering wheel gets really light and I feel as if I'm not feeling the steering. But when I steer to the right I feel loads of grip and its fine. Its only when I'm steering left, anybody have an idea of why it does this??

Are you left handed? Maybe it's easier for you to turn left LOL

luv4jdm- hummm... i didnt notice that on my GE... perhaps
a trip to the dealer might be good.

it could be your alignment being off too.

I've had serious steering issues with my last 2 or 3 Hondas. The last 2 were hydraulic rack and pinion. It's as if the car had a mind of its own as it would switch from very light and very numb steering coupled with weird handling to nice rock solid full of feel steering and every degree in between.

I've never really resolved the issue, but that's one of the reasons I got rid of my 08 Accord to this Fit.

I've heard some people experience similar symptoms, but it's rare.

With this Fit I may notice once in a while a change in steering heft, but it's very subtle so it doesn't bother me. It lasts for a short time anyway.

But your symptoms sound a little different as you only feel it light while turning left. This could be an alignment issue or maybe the tire pressures are unbalanced.

If you can duplicate this to your service dept. you have a good chance of them finding and fixing the problem.

I guess I will check the tire pressure, I didn't check the pressure for a month because its so cold outside. But its what I was thinking and I think its the alignment also. I hate bringing to the dealer but I guess I have to. I think I'll go once I have to get my oil change, I could live wit it till then.
