Yep, I purchased a real nice 5.25" set for my last vehicle, but never got around to installing them. I'm trying to decide whether or not to make these work in the Fit - just started a thread over in the Fit ICE section with all the details - drop by and have a say will ya?! Link below...

So anyone knows the front door panel removal is the same as rear door or not?

Similar... you just have to be careful on the little triangle panel on the rear doors.. they can only be pulled off on direction..

So for those who have tackled the job I have a question, did you use the original plastic casing for the speaker, or were you able to install your speakers without it. Also how tough is the job? Ive done some before but my last one was a honda and had problems with the window clearance. Here are a coupple pics of the job I did on my Deville.

Sorry I forgot to add... if I can do this is the Fit manageable too or is it too technical and let a shop do it?

ALL car speakers are straight forward.

it's when you put in different size than OEM is where it gets tricky.

imho, having the OEM cover for speakers makes things a lot cleaner.

What triangular panel are U talking about? And what direction should I be pulling? Here is a hijacked pic of the rear door from another thread:

Nice picture Correct me if I'm wrong but I think hes talking about the door handle part. When you remove it you kinda have to pull it out and slide it towards the front of the car to separate it from the door panel.
