Aftermarket Stereo

Hey guys.... i have done some searching around here but cant pull anything up.

Has anyone put an aftermarket stereo in their 09 Fit?
Where can i find a different dash kit... you know since the stock stereo is so big on this thing.

getting pointed in the right direction would help of any pics or threads regardin this.

thanks

Get the dash insert from the Navi model. It is double DIN size and will take any aftermarket unit.

yup he's right you need the dash kit off the Navi model which is double din.

I have the Navi and it's a double din.

Either that or wait for cheezy version from aftermarket companies like American International, or Schoche. lol

went to my local dealer, and here in Canada,We can't even order this plate, since they don't sell the 09 fit with a navi system(that's what ive'd been told by the guy at the parts counter).

Just order one from a dealer in the states. It's 100 bucks at the most, even if it's that.

I've seen guys in a Hong Kong Performance store selling it.(but RHD) Not that hard to get, just not at your dealer I guess.

I just use a Blueant style device that clips on my sunvisor. Works well enough, cheap and portable.

Other option is to connect phone directly using the Aux socket and play music using my phone's MP3 player. the phone microphone works well enough and the sound quality is actually better than the bluetooth.

Smile Here you go!

My aftermarket unit

I posted this a while ago with pics. Several people have mentioned the Honda NAVI panel. It is only $35 in the US and well worth it.

enjoy

There's no Honda kit. This dash panel is something that is not made by anyone but Honda. To complete an aftermarket install you also need a wiring harness, antenna adapter and internal mounting bracket.

Apparently these other items are easily available to car audio installers. My installer had everything in stock (some of them were items for Accords, Civics and other Hondas).

The install took 2 hours and everything worked perfectly and looks factory.
