Hello,

I just installed an Eclipse AVN726e with a Scosche Dash Kit.
Only problem is that the head unit, when mounted is not flush.. and is more angle.. (due to the nature of the Dash).

So while the people sitting up front can see the navi clearly, the people in the rear cannot do so. The headunit has a tilting function, but unfortunately, it is at the lowest possible position and will only move up (angle upwards). I need it to angle downwards .

How have you Double Din owners been able to rectify this?
Is it possible to install the headunit at an angle into the dash kit?
I'm afraid that it will not fit. Does the Metra Kit or the OEM Honda Double Din kit sit more "flush"?

There is no solution for installing the unit so that it tilts downward, unless there is a unit out there at will tilt the top down/forward and the bottom back. I think your best bet is to tie in some screens for the rear passengers. i don't know if your unit allows for additional screens or not. I don't think anyone wants to sit in the back and peer over the seats to see a measly 7" screen anyway, even if you did find a solution.

 

anyone have any experience with the OEM double din or the Metra kit?

 

can we have a snapshot of the issue here?

 

There's a thread in one of the forums that talks about those, you'll have to search around for it.

 

I do not have the experience to know if the OEM double din would solve your problem or not. A few months have gone by since this was originally posted... Have you found a solution that works?
