Honda FiT Performance Chip Set

Anyone tried this yet? Wonder if the claims are true and power gains and fuel savings have been substantiated.

Those things are ripoffs. The GE's have a very complicated ECU which people are already having trouble tuning it with piggyback systems. Do you really think a chip will give you 50whp? You couldn't pay me to put one of those things in my car.

Honda Fit Performance Chips
Benggolf,
Thanks for the link. According to the PCD webpage, it states that I can even order a performance chip for my vintage 1973 Honda Fit!

So after a closer look, its only a potentiometer that changes what the ECU sees from IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor. So all you can do is make the ECU more fuel into the motor (I think), since it thinks it is winter all the time.

As to what this would do to MPG or HP, I don't know......but I'd bet it wouldn't make any change.

Chips are available for other vehicles and they do work. That does not mean these will work. They might, and then again they might not. I'd like to see some tests on them, which seem to be missing form the site. Hmmmm.

Ah yes, the golden era of the Fit. I recall the paddle shifters from this time period were sculpted from a fine Honduran mahogany.

I wonder if this chip can also make my internet faster?

I don't think the Fit/Jazz goes as far back as '73.
