What did you do to your GE fit today?
I am awaiting the info nthe wheels too.
He can add the body moulding on the sides and look like me... almost. I am on Swifts

I just got back from the Dealership having All Season Floor Mats installed. I noticed a charge on my receipt stating Enviromental Compliance Charge $10.45. Did I have to pay a disposal fee for buying floor mats? It couldn't have been an emissions check the car is only 5 days old.
Today (actually about 25 minutes ago)... I triggered the ABS system, ON DRY PAVEMENT!!!
That's pretty much the first time I've ever done that (dry). I was getting pissed off at traffic and people lane changing (without signalling) while I am lane changing too! At least I signaled, if nothing else. I had to squeeze my way past an idiot that only decided to speed up when I showed up, so that I could make it to the ramp (the guy behind him was the one that almost lane changed into me). So, I came off the highway pretty fast and was braking hard the entire length of the ramp (kinda short ramp in general).
In my defense, the ABS only triggered after I hit a bump (kinda softly too, maybe it didn't trigger).
AHHH, I'm glad I got 205s... or rather, not the stock Dunlops.

got a few "SUPPORT JAPAN" decal campaign
Ordered my Q99 Clips for the Yakima Rack Saturday. Taking a trip to see the in-laws in a week and a half so with the price of gas as it is... Gonna take the fit with a cargo carrier. Next question... to fairing... or not to fairing... noise or economy, what's more important. (5.5hr trip)

I wonder, how much, if any, would the Fit benefit from fairing over the rear wheels? With stock wheels and tires, it look like you could put a perfectly flush arch cover there.
It reduces lots of drag as well saving you gas and preventing noise from running under the bars and bikes

but I think aerodynamically they might make a small diff. in fuel consumption.
Again..I could be "way" off base here, not exactly sure what he's ask'n about either...
^^^^^ that
Actually, the Fairing hurts fuel economy. By removing the Fairing on both my 93 Integra GS & my '00 Integra GS-R, I gained 2-3mpg. It is for noise only. The GS-R got better economy with a bike on the roof and no fairing than with a fairing alone. he Fit is already a Wedge with a flat back to it creating a nice vacuum. by adding the fairing, you are increasing the height of the front of the wedge moving towards minivan height without adding any aerodynamic improvements to the rear. The fairing will now have increased drag due to a vacuum right behind it to add to the already large vacuum behind the car itself. On the Filp side... the howl of the yakima round bars is AWFUL though I do have the windJammers. The Thule square bars isn't as bad but still noisier.

That's what I want, the Cadillac of Fit's. My Sedan Deville had the wheel wells down over the top of the tires, down to the top rim edge. A nice clean look and most likely helped with air flow. Soon after - 1997 I believe - they went to the full open wheel well like every other car. Now, when I look at cars on the road I see the wheels and tires pushed out to the side profile as opposed to being tucked in tight under the body lines. Open wheel wells makes tire changing a bit easier on the side of the road I guess and folks like the look.
