Because Discount Tire Black Friday weekend special ($100 off) last minute Sunday night online purchase and wanted 205/55 and these were the only tires they show in the size anymore. Some people liked them and I liked my ASX back in the day for daily so I figured i'd be a guinea pig

Also they are still UHP A/S while the Ascends are just Touring A/S and I think only come in 195/60, which will probably be more like a 185 than a 195. These either look like 195s or the S.Drives looked more like 215s, I can't figure out which one lol

I just realized you got 205-55-16's, looks pretty fat but all that meat will help protect your wheels during the winter months!

Replace my dying, flickering Lower Part LED Brake light
(function as extra brake light in what suppose to be the fog light section of the JDM RS Taillight)

with the new better and brighter one from VLED:
RED PLATINUM 21 LED TURN SIGNAL BRAKE LIGHT BULBS 7443 7444 7440 | 1 PAIR

notice that the VLED (lower part) is actually brighter than the factory OEM brake light on the upper part

It's 205/55/15

That's part of the reason they look so big too. If I had 16's I would have gotten 205/50.

The Great Flood decided to hit the Bay Area today, which was perfect. Tires were great, no shits were given about standing water, no hydroplaning whatsoever even at freeway speeds. I'm sure full tread helped here too, but they did great.

So I guess they will do.

Decided to do my oil change today for both the engine and SC.

Did you know, a 2 ounce sauce-to-go container is just enough for the (now) 54 mil of gear oil it needs? Also, the bolts I bought a while back fit perfectly... though the SC no longer looks sleek.

Lifted my car and drained the oil... hoping to do it without lifting, but I couldn't reach the drain bolt. And as I was waiting for it to stop dripping enough, I decided to go grab the oil.

Except I have none left. @.@

I have my sister's Pathfinder... but no keys.

Guess I'm riding my scooter.

My oil life always depletes in the winter, and I get stuck paying for an oil change because I don't have a garage. I do have a friend who works at Jiffy lube and gives me a discount, though. OTOH, having the pit is a nice opportunity to check the underside for rust or any other problems that might have come up.

Despite having a garage, I have to do all car work outside (even when there's snow on the ground). My sister decided she rather fill up the garage with unless crap.

Hey man, that lip looked sick. Did you cut anything in order to get it fit? or just drill and it fits?

Thanks! It was flexible enough to conform to how I wanted it-- but I did have to cut about 2 inches from the tips because it's long. It's not a perfect fit, but using nuts and bolts I was able to make the gaps very minimal.
