Put in 50/50 mix of 111 leaded and 93 unleaded. Holy $HIT! Running so much timing its sick. This the first time I've ever run 26 degrees of base timing (pre-FIC about 22-20 degrees post-FIC) I had always speculated the stock computer would advance you only up to 25 degrees if you can stay out of knock, but now I know it goes even higher. Timing is where the power is it at with this engine, there is a mind blowing difference in power from 12 degrees effective timing (post FIC (what the engine actually gets)) on pump 93 octane and 22 degrees effective timing on race/pump mix. My checkbook (and o2 sensors) be damned that race fuel is worth every dollar, unless of course I actually get around to some water injection. Ah, I'm so happy to be back in the game. It was so depressing driving that escort around while my fit was apart. It's getting far too easy to 'accidently' find myself at 100 mph, it's... effortless.

You wouldn't think octane does anything if you listened to many of the people that won't even see for themselves... The amount of advance you are seeing isn't outrageous and right about what I see on my gauge with the pedal down on boost over 4000RPM.... It is amazing to me that with a 10.4:1 CR and boost that the ignition will advance that far... I can't count how many people that argued that ignition has no influence on a car's performance. Partially applying the throttle on level ground at 2500 RPM my advance jumps to and maintains just over 40 degrees of advance and at times has gone up to 47 degrees. I hope to be in shape to get my water/methanol system on soon along with some other stuff to bring down the IATs... Eventually I hope to get what I need for the F/IC to get the most from the water/meth injection.

Went back to tint shop and had rear windows re-tinted due to bubbles. They also snapped the plastic on my side mirror back on with only hands in 30 seconds. lol.... I thought I might need to replace it. :X

Relocated the front license plate. I mounted it using a kit I attached to the bumper with plastic push-rivits. Right now it's off to the drivers side Fitdeez style, but I installed push-rivits at the middle and to the right as well so's I can quickly mix it up.

Oh, and when grabbing the parts I hit a steep driveway and scraped the fxck out of my bumper. I don't know how those who are lowered survive...

UPS brought goodies yesterday from College Hills Honda: trunk mat, cargo organizer, and back shelf. Also removed the dealer installed front license bracket (here in SC no front plates).

Had a 6 inch band of tint put on the front window. asked the installer about quality, guarantee etc. Got price for doing rest of windows $135. He cut film with knife, it's ok but not 100% satisfied so will not use him for rest of job. JIm 0311

Filled her up and saw 41.15mpg today after taking the Family in the FIT on a 120 mile round trip to Echo Aquarium on Lake Champlain in Burlington VT yesterday. Great place to go if you have kids as it's very hands-on and not too big so that they lose interest. Yesterday the lake was so high, the Echo Parking lot was totally under water and so were the walkways out to the docks.

Yesterday, I volunteered my Fit to haul some junk around. We managed to fit a recliner in the back with some maneuvering. So proud.

Haha, you would need a pretty short torso though, since it wasn't able to recline that much and still be able to fit in the car. :P Though we _did_ need to recline it to fit in the car because the normal vertical clearance was too large to fit through the hatchback doorway.

On Sunday I installed my Injen CAI, which was a PITA because of the front bumper removal. Also put on my chrome GE sticker that I ordered a while back. Now all I have left are my Eibach Sportlines to put on :-D

Four years ago I had to replace the water heater in the house when it went out.. I had driven to town and was planning to leave the Fit with my wife where she works and take her pickup back home with the water heater... I was just getting ready to pull out on the road from the parking lot of the True Value Hardware store when I looked at all of the room in the Fit and realized it would be possible to carry it home in the rear of it... The guys at the store thought I was joking and were amazed that it went right in with plenty of room for other things. I went ahead and got a 50 gallon water heater instead of a 40 gallon one since there was plenty of room... I had been driving the car for about 8 months at the time and it was still the only one in this area at the time.

+highfive+ Yeah I remember the stares I was getting from everyone when we were loading it. Especially when I took the 12" sub woofer and threw it back in there too for good measure. Even though there wasnt much room left I probably could have fit a passenger in the smaller backseat as long as it wasn't reclined. Now that would have been a sight to see!
