100 mph eh? Feels a little airy after 90 huh? And yeah breaking isn't the best on the Fit.

Got brand new:

Yakima Q Towers
Yakima 48" Crossbars
Yakima 44" Fairing
Yakima SKS Cores 6-pk
Yakima Viper Bike Mount
Yakima Q99 Clips (4)
Yakima Bar Pads
Yakima Bow & Stern Cables

Total? Right at $550 IIRC. 20% off at REI and I get my dividend atop that (about $50 off). The bike is new, the car is new, the kayak is new. Why can't the rack be new too?

Just put a healthy coat of 303 Aero on it too. Dark and slick for years to come!

Just got done talking (at work - Allstate Insurance) to a lady in Massachusetts who was trading in her saturn for a 2011 Fit and needed to update her insurance. So of course I ask her, like all my customers with a Fit, if she has seen fitfreak.net. She says "yes, those guys are crazy", So I ask, "So did you see that guy Lyon[Nightroad] with his turbo fit?", "yea", "thats me! I dont have any way to prove it." She says, "who would make something like that up?" Anyway, we discussed coverages and deductibles and work was done.

Does this make me a celebrity?

Many lols were had. So If you read this, join us.

Me and my buddy threw on my Eibach Sportlines last night. I have some pics from my Blackberry, but they don't do it justice. Will get better pics later if the rain stops. It's a nice drop, it hurts to stick 2 fingers in the gap (thats just a dirty phrase) between tire and fender. On the drive home, I noticed the ride was not really all that more harsh than stock. Body-roll is nearly gone, and it handles like a dream compared to stock now. Wish I would have done this a long time ago.

I watched in horror as hail came pounding down... GOOD NEWS is it was at largest nickel size or a tad larger and did no damage. I hate hail so much its so damaging on a car.

Knowing hail is in the area is enough, watching it pepper your ride is way too much, having it repaired you know it will really never be the same....

This has been a bad year for many thus far.

Nothing Really with the FIT today. Been Playing with my new Droid X2 Scary when my phone has more power than the laptop I'm on. Well... maybe slightly related. Trying to figure out how to get the data from my WinMo 6.5 Phone program "GasUpLogger" into an android program. (also not sure which to use.)

Installed Mugen short shifter. I already had a Skunk2 440g shift knob. The combo is excellent--very positive & short shifts, just like I wanted. I have the shift knob screwed down as far as possible. It does sit lower than the stock shift knob height, but well within reach. Expensive mod, but I like it.

I also installed a K&N SRI about 2 weeks ago. Enjoying hearing the engine work, I end up revving it more just to hear it go, which has dropped my mpg a little. Worth it so far, and still have my stock box just in case.

Swift springs & HKS Hi-power enroute from Evasive Motorsports.

The guy I talked to from Evasive said HKS is going to stop importing its stuff to America later this summer--not enough profit for the effort, apparently. First I'd heard of that.

This morning I loaded up my bike inside my Fit and drove over to the dealer to drop it off for the lost-motion spring recall. Took my bike in to work after that. Hopefully I'll get it back this afternoon with nothing goofed up.

Saved like $70 compared to the dealer. Take yourself (and your car) to dinner!

Picked up the new engine/tranny mounts from Alex Motorsports. Basically stock hardware filled in with solid rubber. This past event over at Mihama a GD went down with a broken passenger (your driver) side mount. Once this damn rain goes away, I'll get to installing them. I'm hoping the feeling will be equal to that of my old 5R Teg. I had Alex mounts in it as well. I very much like the direct feeling you get and the bit of on idle shake didn't and won't bother me at all.
