Yeah ive seen it too. IMO its not as aggressive a look as black vinyl on a car thats not black.
Have you thought about maybe something like this?

That's not bad at all. Looks like the GTI is orange w/ some matte black wrap, but I could just get some matte or glossy orange vinyl and wrap my hood, roof, and mirrors. Really like the mirrors. Looks very race-themed, I like.

Only GTI that came from the factory in that color was the Fahrenheit's. But that is the exact orange so I think it's just got the sides matte black wrapped.

I've seen GTIs in that exact color of orange. As exact as my eyes can tell anyways. But this raises an important question...could Google be wrong??

Any of you guys have problems with your rear bumper applique? Mine is starting to get bubbly. The dealership installed it for me, not sure if this is important info or not.

Front left. Not from braking as I never lock up even though quite late.

Wow, they took some punishment, lol.

Have you got a build thread on here? I'd love to read about what you have done with your car.

I don't have one, but any oem accessory has at least a 1 yr warranty through Honda. If it was on when you bought the car might even be included in your 3yr, but I'm not 100% on that.

This is actually the same kind of wear the exspierience in F1 racing with softer compounds. You must be pushing that thing hard

Assuming dealer installed, they are supposed to push the bubbles out while the adhesive is still fresh. Might be a bit harder to do now.

I stuck mine on myself and had a bubble or two that didn't get pushed out. I deflated them with a pin and haven't seen any adverse effects.

With two dogs in the hatch w/ the seats down hair and mud are a constant battle.

So I picked up a black double fitted sheet for 10$. Solved my problem.

Tip of the day:

for every rise and drop of 5 deg C in outdoor temp your tire pressure will rise or fall by one PSI.

with the summer months approaching time to check those tires!!!!!

side note: I had a service appointment this Feb it was 20C in the service bay but it was -15C outside. The service guys under inflated my tires by 7PSI...

damn that sucks. Maybe you could use some automotive polish to get it back to looking new and then put some vinyl around the edges to protect it from fading and rocks
