No clue what you're talking about here. First off why do you need a Civic battery????? And what do you mean $50 to unhook the battery and reprogram "the starter?" Surely you're not talking about the actual starter for the engine. That's not something that gets "reprogrammed." The only thing you have to do after you unhook the battery then hook it back up is reset the clock on your stereo. Oh and put the code back in for the radio to work if you still have the oem setup.
-40 and colder starts. Even with the block heater, it can't handle anything colder than -35. Living up here has different needs and challenges for a vehicle. Namely, extreme cold. If I have to go to work and its -50 (and they will still make me come in, make no mistake), my car needs to start. Even the block heater and a battery warmer wasn't enough last winter. I figure a jump from 330 CCA to 440 CCA should be enough, and this way, it won't look like a hack job.

Remote car starter. Sorry, I should've clarified that. Any time you unhook the battery, it goes haywire. The car will start itself, and you can't shut it off with the key. You have to let it sit and idle for 15 minutes. During that time, the security system is completely useless, too. You can open it while its running and just drive off with no key in it.

got the hks axle back installed this morning. haven't driven the car yet but its damn near quiet as stock at idle which i was hoping for.
also cleaned up the used rear diffuser and installed rubber trim around the edge of it to protect the paint. i'll get around the installing that when i have more time.

Surprised I don't see more of that honestly. Lots of red JDM emblems, but nobody wants blue (to match a blue car obv).
I'm planning to get the blue CF inserts from JapanParts to do something similar.

Nah, I never really did the whole "because I can" thing with modding. It leads to some weird cars, and poorly done modifications.
