I am the happy owner of a new Fit, and it's great to find this active Fit community.
My Fit: 2009 Fit Sport Manual Black/Black
OEM Options installed by dealer: Shift knob, all-weather cargo tray
OEM Options installed by me: All-weather floor mats, cargo cover shelf, locking wheel nuts
Other changes: So far I've... removed the stock fuel cap/tether from the fuel filler door and replaced it with a locking fuel cap from Canadian Tire... removed the dealer frame from the rear license plate... installed clear plastic covers from Canadian Tire on the front and rear license plates... got a nice retractable iPod USB cable from The Source for the glove box so I can plug/unplug my iPhone easily with no cable mess plus I don't have to keep bringing my cable from home to car and back
Pros:
Price (bought and paid for, trade in and cash)
Fun to drive (tight steering, great handling, wonderful clutch and gearbox)
Great on gas
Beautiful inside and out
Impressive features (immobilizer, alarm, keyless, airbags... it's a long list)
Stereo sounds great and can boom if you want it to
iPhone integration works well
Cargo (5 doors, magic seats)
Cons:
Non-locking fuel filler door and cap, but this is an easy fix (see above)
Butt gets sore after a few hours, but I'm skinny so I don't have much natural padding
A bit rough over the bumps, but taut suspension also makes it handle well
A few nit picks about the iPhone integration
No hybrid available
This is my 2nd car and my 2nd Honda. My first was a 1998 Civic Si Manual Silver/Grey, which I modified a fair bit, but I will NOT be modding my Fit. Why not? After all the changes to my Civic, I don't feel like I came out ahead. There's nothing like a brand new car and the last thing I want is someone pulling apart my doors to put on tints, pulling apart my dash to put in an alarm (it already has an alarm anyway), the next thing you know your car rattles with every bass/road bump and your tints are all worn and ugly. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, but my attitude has changed and now I feel like if I can't get the car I want with the options I want off the lot, then I need to look for a different car... and thanks to the Fit I got a fun, efficient, beautiful, reliable and safe car for much closer to $20,000 than $30,000. I'd happily pay a bit more for a Fit Sport Hybrid, and it'd still be well under $30,000.
BUT, having said all that... I really enjoy all the posts with DIY mods and while I don't plan on tinting, installing winkers, dropping etc. my Fit that A/C Condenser post has got me thinking...
Keep the great post/pics coming community.

Welcome to the forum and post up some pictures of your car when you can. Glad you are happy with your car - I had never modded a car out until I got the Fit. Then I decided to do a Mugen theme which included door sills, visors, racing pedals and several other items. I had never tinted a car but have to say that I am glad that I did tint. It really makes a difference in keeping the interior cooler in the summer.

I did the modding thing to the tune of a fully built turbo integra. It's DEFINITELY not worth it. And you DEFINITELY lose money.
The Fit's engine is not really for modding anyways...turbo or not. It's made for excellent fuel economy and that's exactly what it does.
Congrats on the purchase. I ordered mine a few days ago. It won't get in til next month, however. I guess the blue sensation mated with a manual transmission is rare around my area, haha.

Congrats on your order Molti... I'm sure you will love it, and I'm sure anyone on these forums will tell you that you've made a wise choice and that the anticipation will only make picking it up that much sweeter when it arrives!
Congrats on your car--not sure why tint would require doing anything to the doors. Didn't have to do anything on my Fit Sport (nor the 16 previous new cars I've had tinted). If the tint shop cannot get the tint down past the weather seal, you're not dealing with the right shop.
I couldn't stand a car without side and rear window tint--way too hot for too much of the year down here in Texas.
