well since I know very little about modding naturally aspirated cars, I can only speak from years of modding Audi's I lost a lot of money..although my fit is lowered, with forged wheels and I'm putting in the PRM intake I don't have much room to talk really...

A) live at home with mommy and daddy who have money or B) Don't own a home, or a home worth living in if this is your outlook on saving money.
A, soon to be moving out within the next 2 months

If that's not a testament to saving up and working since I was 12 then I don't know what is. No one ever helped me, and definitely not my parents. It's not just about saving either--I'm bunked up with friends for my cell phone so me and my 2 best friends entire bill for unlimited sprint is $190-22%-$15 monthly loyalty service credit, then divided 3 ways...that's just an example: it's all about offsetting the bills you know you have to pay so they are as minimal as possible. Guess who pays 1/3rd of my monthly insurance? My neighbor, we carpool.
been working since ive been 18, about to turn 23, school is already paid off n with my new job's signing bonus, ill be able to finish paying the car off. i should be able to afford the full swap with in 3 months of working there

Question: How do you know you can afford the full swap with 3 months pay when the full swap does not have a specified price?

the purpose of me purchasing my fit was not because it was more fuel efficient. it mainly was for looks. something different and NEW.

good plan.

btw, a k20 swap into a civic (which has mounts you can buy already) runs around $7-10k. That's considering you do a lot of the work yourself. So $9k is pretty unrealistic.
BTW, making $3k a month is not that much. I think saving a bit of it would be a good idea.

Here's a crazy idea, I've always wondered what about a b16 or b18? I know the motor is old, I think it would be a perfect balance for the Fit. What to you guys think?
