I noticed the pictures were gone when i went to do this install, but i went for it anyways yesterday and it was pretty easy, just let me know if you have any questons! Basically cut the whole, run a wire from front to back, get a wire tap, connect it to the dome light, the pink wire, and then on the map light connect it to the inner prong. I just used 14Ga wire a wire splice, and one small female connector. didnt take me long at all!

Agreed. The pictures gave me the courage to cut though...

14 gauge wire is pretty thick. The wires to the dome light seem about 22 gauge.

The most difficult thing for me was fishing the wire through the roof liner. A coat hanger wasn't stiff enough. I had to use a brass rod I had for hanging bird feeders (we get some hefty birds around here).

For cutting i just traced with a fine tip sharpie, and ya the wire was pretty thick, but i had it laying around.. and it works! lol and i was frustrated with the fishing because i got it through easy the first time, and then my tape holding the wire didnt stay, so i had to go thru again, not as easy... lol

And use an exacto knife or something equally sharp. The roof liner is about 1cm (1/4") thick and doesn't cut with scissors.

Thanks guys, a couple questions, how do you remove the dome light and did you fix the new wires somehow, ie. Tape to the roof or anything? Or are they ok just to dangle, I suppose the headliner keeps them pretty much fixed in place?

I just used a small flat head on the end closest to the front to pop off the cover, then it's just two screws and it pulls down. And wire is snug in there.
