Tesla Model 3 or Chevy Bolt? In any case, you seem to have the same mindset I do. I have an 09 Sport with 190K miles and I'm hoping it will last until an affordable electric with decent range comes out.

The Leaf has every comfort item of my neighbors cadillac and its not slow either. Oh, and its cost is mid twenties with tax incentices, maybe 10 grand over a Fit. certainly worth every penny.
even with 200 mile or 250 mile range Tesla doesn't fit my weekend service but I like the idea of Tesla beating a Hellcat to 80 mph (MT test). the plugin Sonata hybrid might be the answer. tried the ford plug in and wasn't that impressed. next winter looks like a good time to buy.
cheers
The price point for the forthcoming Tesla Model 3 in $35K with incentives. That's $15K more than a new Fit will cost at the time, and with a 200 miles electric range and the free charging at my work, it's a no-brainer.

Yup. 190,000 miles on my 09 Sport and still going strong. We've owned it 6.5 years, and it's been paid off for 2.5. The only repair costs I've had is a $150 starter motor. I'm hoping to get at least 250,000 out of it, and if there are still no affordable electric vehicles on the market with a decent range by that time, I'll have the Fit engine rebuilt.

i traded the 09 with 6+yrs driving 55K miles?

i will be selling the 12 with about 25K around that time next Spring.

the new GK my wife has will be given to our kids to use later on so it will probably stay with us for 9-10yrs if it lasts that long..

Interesting that the 2016 Civic has a turbo 1500CC, which is the Fit motor. Boy would I love to get one of those & stuff it in the Fit. By the way, I have a 2013 Fit, about 28,000 miles on it. I really do expect it to last at least 200,000 miles.

Currently have 103k miles on my 2010 Fit Sport, but I'll be averaging 30k/yr with my new 110-mile daily commute. I hope to keep this guy around for another 5 years or 250k - whichever comes first!

Similar for me...70 mile commute per day on our '09 since we bought it new. 190K now, and the only problem we have had was the starter. Replaced it last week. Hoping for 250K before the real problems start. Love this car.

reckon another 2-4 years, who knows?

would like another car, but it isn't in the budget right know living at home still going to college. i'll be clocking 60 miles daily four times a week and my 22,000 mile, 30 mpg gettin' 09' fit makes great sense right now.

Plan to keep until it blows up. Only got 56k miles on it so I'd imagine that'll be a while haha.

Until something happens to it. Plan on keeping it forever unless it dies a traumatic death.

I bought mine for work, back in September 2008. I've put nearly 400,000 miles on it.
Honestly, at this point I'm probably going to get out of it as soon as I can. It's been a great little car, but I no longer need it for my high-mileage job, and after 400,000 miles behind the wheel, I'm due for a change!
