Any after-market headlights recommendations?

Hey gang.
- I've found my oem headlights on my '09 Fit Sport to be not so... illuminating... - I'm dying to get some good ones to put in... Anybody know of some that you can recommend? - I'd really appreciate any input...

thanks!

These lights are SO FREAKING SICK!

I'm trying to figure out who makes them so I can slap them on.

no doubt, man. Those lights look crazy-cool!

- I'm hoping to find some recommendations for some strong-performing halogens or even xenons...

I just put a set of Sylvania SilverStar lamps in mine. Seem to work pretty well. Really easy to change out. Read the manual for the procedure.

I was used to my 03 Maxima with the HID's.

Someone just posted a DIY last week on putting projectors on the oem light. I'm on my phone so I can't post the link but I'd check out the DIY section.

Have you tried putting higher-output bulbs in first?

KeepingFit: 9003ST was the Sylvania model number. There was one model above that, didn't want the lower lamp life.

I like the OSRAM Silverstar VERY MUCH, which I use on my 2002 CR-V. They rock.

I have a set on order for the Fit. I get them at PowerBulbs - Car Bulbs, Headlight Bulbs, Xenon Bulbs from Philips and Osram, including Philips Xtreme Power and Osram NightBreaker globes. and they ship free from the UK I believe. They throw in a set of marker lights as well with your order:

Get Osram Silverstars, DON"T get the Sylvania Silverstars, there is a difference. The Sylvanias don't last very long and are not as bright as the Osrams. The Sylvanias are blue tinted which gives them a bright appearance, but they are actually dimmer. The Osrams are made for Europe and are not DOT approved (still great lights though), so they are not available in most parts stores, but are easy to find online.

I was going to mention the OSRAM vs Sylvania issue... but forgot at the last minute! ... so thanks for bringin that up reako!

Indeed, it is ONLY THE OSRAM banded bulb that you want. The price shipped from UK to US is about $17 GBP including fee side marker lights. It's a very good price, and they are a serious store -- I have been buying from powerbulbs for the last 6 years!

Two questions regarding Osram bulbs:

1. I had a set of Osram Hyper bulbs in my Fit and they lasted only a few months. I was extremely disappointed with the bulb life! Can anyone speak to the longevity of the Osram Silverstars?

2. I noticed on the Powerbulbs website that Osram offers a Night Breaker bulb, which appears to have very high output and yet is still rated as a 60/55W bulb. Has anyone tried them? Link below.

1. I've had them last anywhere between 6 months to 24 months. It varies, I dont know why... but its true, they last less than the OEM.

2. I have not tried the nightbreakers, but I will try those next to compare in a few months when my Silverstar's burn!

They needed to over drive the filament in order to compensate for the lost light output due to the blue tint. I tried tinted bulbs a few times and they never lasted more than a year. Don't expect longevity on those bulbs.
