Just Got a Fit! Question About Backseat Windows.

Just got a Fit and wanted to say hi to everybody ! I'll post pictures when I can. I do have a minor question.

Are the backseat windows able to roll down all the way ? I just noticed that it stops like 3/4"ish" of the way down, but is there any way to roll it down all the way? That little thing surprised me as soon as I got home. An answer would be much appreciated, I looked everywhere and searched the forums to no avail. I might check with the dealership tomorrow.

nope... the window will only go down as far as the curve/contour of the wheel well...

that's why bigger cars have that little triangle window behind the window that rolls down.

mole177 has the correct answer. Do you remember the GM mid-size G-body sedans and wagons from the late 70s through mid-80s? The windows wouldn't even go down at all.

In this litigious age, I think the car makers are trying to avoid lawsuits for children falling out the window. This, and the door dogleg, explain the not-totally-retractable windows.
