Gooie weather stripping

I'm not a windows down guy... did it today in nice weather.. put my hand on the "shinny" weather stripping at the front and back of the front window.. in the corners of the window near the pillars.. it was gooie and sticky mess... anyone else??? felt like honey on my fingers...

Hmm...maybe something got on your stripping?

It should be soft, pliable....but not gooey.

Gooey would suggest to me something got on your weatherstripping and is breaking down the rubber.
