My two front side windows

I've just noticed that while the two front side windows goes down at the same time, the left one is going down faster than the right one.

Is it the same for you ?

Probably because there is a long-@ss wire going over to the passenger door which results in more electrical resistance and slightly less voltage to the motor.

Probably not true but I had a mechanic friend tell me that I should just open/close one window at a time . Something about added stress on the window motors, sounds like a show topic for Myth Busters. So I'm doing one window at a time .

I have noticed that if you roll say the drivers window down alone it is faster than if you roll down both front windows at the same time. This is in every car I have been in with eletric windows.

Now for hand crank windows it is really hard to roll down both windows by yourself.

Not the motors, but more likely to pop a fuse. But perhaps that's just a VW feature...

It might be that it draws off the same circut of electricity... I am not an electrician. I noticed that when playing with electric slot cars you can get that type of results. It might be possible that if you time each individual window single the times may be equal or near equal. Also the times may be faster . Power them together then you may get different results. Who really cares. It is like you just discovered one ear is larger then the other. It really is ok.
