[Canadian] Sport or LX?

Hihi.

I'm considering a Fit Sport or LX ... here in Canada, the main differences are the underbody spoiler kit, upgraded 16" wheels, integrated fogs, rear stabilizer bar, security system, chrome exhaust tip, leather wrapped steering wheel, upgraded sound/usb connectivity.

I'm not considering the DX because there are a lot of things I really want in the LX (remote entry, body coloured door handles/mirrors, power locks, etc...)

I do plan on doing a few things to make my Fit more my own. I am looking for a Taffeta White one, and I think CF (-"style", doesn't have to be real) front spoiler, rear diffuser, rear spoiler, and side skirts would look hot.

Also bronze wheels, 16x7 TE37-lookalikes (likely Rota Grids) with the stock alloys for winters. I also want to rip out the stock stereo and put in an aftermarket deck and front components.

I suppose I can always get an aftermarket muffler (twin loop anyone?) ... so the biggest things I'm losing are the security system, leather wrapped steering wheel and integrated fogs.

So I suppose my main question is ... Are CF-style front (under)spoiler/side skirts/rear diffuser/rear spoiler for the GE8 expensive/hard to find?

All the upgrades would likely cost me more than the difference (~$1900), but at least my Fit would be more my own.

Regards
-k

Those mods probably will set you back quite a bit especially since the GE8 is a new platform compared to the GD3. Depends on what you want though, it's nice to have the integrated fogs, but if you are planning to do all of those modifications, then I'd recommend going with the LX. I think the lip kits that are being produced can fit either the sport or the LX, not sure as I haven't really looked into it, but the bumpers do seem a bit different, so there might be some minor differences that may hinder you from purchasing sport pieces if you go with the LX (mainly the front and rear lip). Side skirts shouldn't be a problem though.

Wow thanks for the quick reply.

I just saw some photos of the LX and realized I love the Sport's front bumper SO much more. I wonder how much the front bumper will cost by itself .... this might force me to go with the Sport for avoiding headaches' sake.

The pics on the GE8 CF front lip for $250+shipping on the thread floating around here is what made me desire the CF lip look ...

I might be able to sell the Sport wheels and side skirts for some cash then?

The stuff you get on the Sport isn't worth the money you pay for it, but when you see them side by side it seems cheap! I thought about it for a little bit, but in the end went for the Sport. There might be cheaper ways to achieve what you want, the Fit is my cheap commuter, I am not too interested in wrenching on it too much so the Sport it was.

I went with the LX, the sport really isn't worth the extra, but it does look better.
Some things to consider:
If you are getting rims anyway the 15 inch alloys on the LX will fit cheaper and better snows.
You are in TO but the sport front is lower and I worry about knocking that spoiler off in the snow.
I like the grey seats better in the LX.
I'm sure the Sport with the rear stabilizer and lower profile tires handles better, but the LX is noticeably smoother and handles really well.
I hate the LX rims.
You are right the LX is better value then the DX.
The upgraded sound system consists of two two very cheap looking tweeters.
If the sport came with traction controll I would have paid the extra.
