Mine came with clips and it pained me to have to cut into the carpet and mat on my two week old car. But i did and my mat is secure and it looks better with the clips. I have a friend that won't let me put the clips on her 09' and when i drive her car (manual) the mat is all over the place. Def a safety hazard.

Red05 you can buy new clips for under $5 at your dealer or online.

By the way great forum, lots of great info here.
Are the floor mats come standard with '09 Honda Fit Sport? I got my Honda Fit last week and it does not come with floor mats. I need to call the dealer and ask.

No...they are not standard. They are an option but personally I'd highly recommended that you get some kind of mats.

It can't hurt to try cutting down the pins on the bottom. And note that some of the non-skid matting has a sort of tacky surface, and some doesn't. The tacky stuff would work best.

I think I was using some old stuff, so I'm going to run over to k-ma-part and pick up a new roll.

My driver's side has clips and stays in place beautifully, as do the rear mats.

My passenger side mat goes all over the place. What kind of sticky roll is best to use?????

The stuff I have is called "Magic Stop" Grip Mat, made in China. But it came from a closeout store so I wouldn't waste time hunting for the same brand. And I haven't tried this on the passenger side where the surface is pseudo-carpet. The spikes on my cheapo floor mats seem to grip well enough there without any sticky mat. Just look for matting with a sticky feel, and if it doesn't work you're only out a dollar or two.
